I'm reading a Network book and they reference T1, Fractiona1 T1, and T3 circuits. Are CIRCUITS the physical lines (wires or cables) that carry data or are they electronic signals similar to data travel on a motherboard bus lines?

T1 and T3 connections are made by physical wire from the phone company CO to your location. They're also very expensive. :)
