Hi all, just got a new laptop the other week and i am now wanting to get it to talk to my back room desktop, so as to share files etc. Both machines are running vista. My laptop is wireless enabled and ready to go and i can surf the internet on it wirelessly no problem. My desktop pc in the back room is wired to a wireless broadband hub using a cat5 cable and again i can surf the internet on it no problem.

I,m a complete newbie to this wireless networking so if anyone could give me a step by step guide i would be over the moon. I also have a printer in the back room that i want to be included in the network, i guess i would have to use the back room desktop as a printer server so to speak.

Anyway i hope this makes sense and someone can point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks
