Hello, I hope i can explain this correctly! I have a new windowsXP and on my taskbar there is an icon that looks like 2 Computers and there is an X (in front of them)Now when i put my pointer on them (mouse) a sign comes up and says LOCAL AREA CONNECTION,A NETWORK CABLE IS UNPLUGGED. So i went to control panel and double clicked on Network connections and there were 3 items in there and the first said= AOL DISCONNECTED LUCENT WINDOW MODEM and the Second said= LOCAL AREA CONNECTION 3 ENABLED WAN NETWORK DRIVER and the Third said= LOCAL AREA CONNECTION NETWORK CABLE UNPLUGGED,REALTEK RTL8139 FAMILY PCIF... My Question is should the one that says UNPLUGGED(and it says the same thing with the pointer on my taskbar, BE PLUGGED IN??? I keep thinking since it has that X in front of it that it should not have it(X) there! Are these things ALL correctly (on or off) Please let me know and if you don't understand i will try to rephrase it. Thank you TOM
