    I have two computers one runs xp the other me I have a cble modem and use ie 5.5 I have a jetway broadband router and used the step by step part to install it. I can get ip addresses up and renew and release them but I keep getting page cannot be displayed. I have phoned cable company but they have said there si no problem with modem Please help

    First, configure the cable modem to connect to a single computer, and get that working. Now you know the broadband works. Then introduce the router into the mix.

    we had the cable modem for about ayear before getting second computer

    OK, let's start with the brass tacks, which computer was connected to the cable modem before you got the router?
    2) Did it work ok?
    3) When you had the one computer connected, if it worked ok, did you just click IE or did you have to double click something else on the desktop and click connect?
    Who is your ISP??

    we fixed problem after phoning a computer repair shop specialising in netwokring we still couldnt get it working so we took it back to shop where they tried and said it was faulty
    so we got a different router and its working fine now
