warning the battery is not recommended for this system. The system will be unable to charge this battery. Hit F1 or F2 to continue.

I just bought on Ebay a replacement battery because my original Dell battery doesn't last long anymore. It is Identical model and every word on it is exactly the same wording as the one I'm replacing. I bought the battery because I want to sell it and I wanted the battery to be new for the person who buys it. Well now It gets the error warning in the first 2 sentence of my message. The ebay guy even sent me another one still identical as my original one and it says the same error. It does seem to charge but no one is going to buy it with that error that pops up when you turn it on. I upgraded the laptop to windows 10 and I don't get that error with original battery so I am stumped. Any help for me out there

Even though that battery charges properly and may have good burn time, your Dell laptop may be recognizing it as a generic or incompatible one.

You didn't provide the model name and model number and service tag number of your Dell laptop, but I'm guessing it has a battery warning command in the BIOS that can be disabled.

My Dell laptop has commands for the battery and power adapter that can be disabled so a warning doesn't appear during startup.

Dells are particularly fussy about batteries and they even complain if a different capacity Dell battery is used.
    Do as Frank said.
