Hello.

I am using Windows XP Home Edition & all is well. I have activated & registered the operating system.

I recently resized the partitions of my hard drive using Partition
Magic & upon reboot I had a message along the lines that I would need to reboot again for Windows XP to recognise the changes.

I now want to add another hard drive & change my CD ROM drive for a DVD drive. I have heard that Windows XP only allows so many hardware changes before it locks out the user & I don't want to end up in this position.

Can anyone shed any light on this matter? Is it safe for me to make the proposed changes & what do I do if I do get locked out?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best wishes.
