Hi All,

I am currently in the market for a computer, either a custom built desktop or a laptop. Right now I'm leaning more towards the laptop.

The one that I am really interested in right now is a Compaq. Its specifications are as follows:

-AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology MK-36
-Windows Vista Home Premium
-1024 MB DDR2 Memory
-80 GB Hard Drive
-Reads and Writes Dual-Layer DVD's and CD's
-Integrated 802.11g Wireless LAN
-nVIDIA GeForce GO 6150 Graphics

The model number is V6205NR.

It is in the Best Buy advertisement of the news paper for $599.99 after $150.00 savings from Best Buy.

So, I guess I'm asking if this is a good laptop? Is it a good price?

Thanks All,
Simon :)

I would say that's a good deal for that.

It won't handle gaming, but for everything else, it should be a great laptop for you.

That's exactly what I'm looking for in a laptop. One that is from a good company and that has Vista. I'm going to go look at it in-store today.

Thanks guys! I'm basically going to use it for surfing the Internet and e-mail. Nothing too fancy, but I don't want an el-cheapo laptop.

It is kinda cheap... compared to $2000 models... but its good enough for most people. I don't believe in $1000+ mobile computers.
