I plan on getting a new cpu and motherboard and was wondering if I would have to reinstall windows xp afterwards. Right now I am running a dual boot setup with xp pro and vista, each are on two different hard drives of the 4 i have installed. The operating systems have their own partitions in the hard drive. Also have AMD socket AM2. With all that said, I plan on getting the Intel quad core and mobo to go with it; will I have to reinstall windows xp pro and vista or can i just switch out the two and replace the mobo driver and everything will be normal?

Since you are replacing two of the most essential hardware components, you will need to reinstall the OS's, as the replacements will be such a drastic change to the hardware configuration each of the OS's have already recognized.
