Why does Intel keep inventing these stupid things ? You trust your CPU cache to rely on something outside your machine - fetched from the network ? I would switch that off in a blink - I don't care how fast it could make my machine fly.

So what are we supposed to do? I read some articles at Intel and it their security recommendations seem quite complex but at the same time vague as to how to implement them.

Since this seems a server oriented issue ( not consumer grade CPU's )
the problem of security seems more on the server side, not so much the consumer/host.
I read the article, thanks. Understood little ( :D ) and saw little that pertains to me as the host.

So my concern is how am I involved with security from my side of the equation, or am I 'just along for the ride'?

Mine is HD Graphics 4600 so I guess I'm not affected.
