Unfortunately with effort from techs here, my PC did overheat and was rendered dead so I ordered a refurbished HP 8200 elite. Installed all of windows 7's 200 or so updates (took all day!) but I'm now getting a few BSOD's. Checked the memory the memory is fine, have not checked the solid state drive. Hoping I didn't get burned on a refurbished machine.

My other computer died, despite valiant attempts from techs here to fix it. The HP is the replacement. All refurbished parts, straight from joy systems

The computer currently does not run longer than 10 minutes with a blue screen. The previous computer's death started the same way, so I'm fearful

I thought that was the case, as I had read the topic regarding your problems on the previous computer and the heavy dust build up and then your discovery of the apparently failed capacitors

    Open computer on start menu
    open c drive
    open windows
    scroll to minidump folder
    open that
    right click the dump file
    hold mouse on send to
    select compressed file on desktop
then when typing your reply click
    upload file button
    and attach dump

The HP Compaq 8200 Elite appears to come in these models:

    Microtower

    Small Form Factor

    All-In-One

Which one do you have, and what's the exact serial number(S/N) on it?

Where exactly did you purchase it from?

small form factor, serial number# 2UA3200M7

Puchased on staples.com, they are refurbished by Joy Systems. And to note, none of the in store employees where I picked it up (had it shipped to store) had anything postive to say about it, and an easy tech on duty hinted that the company's easy techs were highly in favor of staples dropping the refurbished machines altogether. I got much grief picking it up. The machine does have a 1 year warranty through joy systems.

Recheck that serial number to make sure it's correct.

Also advise the exact product number(P/N) on it.

    1. A process has tried to access memory at the wrong time - to put it in simple terms
    The error as below

Windows 7 Kernel Version 7601 (Service Pack 1) MP (4 procs) Free x64
    Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS
    Built by: 7601.19110.amd64fre.win7sp1_gdr.151230-0600
    Machine Name:
    Kernel base = 0xfffff800`02c52000 PsLoadedModuleList = 0xfffff800`02e99730
    Debug session time: Wed Jan 13 10:37:07.552 2016 (UTC - 5:00)
    System Uptime: 0 days 0:35:24.800

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except,
it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it
    is pointing at freed memory.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: fffff6fc700542c0, memory referenced.
    Arg2: 0000000000000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.
Arg3: fffff80002cafccb, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory
    address.
    Arg4: 0000000000000002, (reserved)

is usually caused by the process, rather than by bad ram sticks, bad hard drive file system, or other failing hardware

    2. As a first measure - having installed windows 7 and updated I see you have AVAST
is that a free version that you have installed

    3. ALSO please confirm again that this is a clean install on hardware that came with the computer and there is NO hardware from the old computer
especially the hard disk on which windows is installed

AVAST is the pro version licenced through 6/27/2016. I may not renew and run it in limited free mode.
All hardware came with the machine. No re-used hardware at all. The HD is solid state believe, and shipped with the machine

pre-installed with the machine, and updated via windows updater.

Installed Firefox, Skype, Propellorhead Reason, Adobe creative suite cs4 (illustrator, flash, photshop etc. bundle), Winrar, VLC media player and AVAST pro in roughly that order.
