my computer was running very slow. decided that it was a memory problem since all I have 128, bought a new 128, made certain it matched with specifications. Not same brand as old one.(was told that doesn't matter).

When I installed it everything seems to be o.k., but not added speed and does not show up in my systems, still read only 128.

Could there be something wrong with my computer that is doesn't show, something wrong with sdram or is not supposed to show as updated?

As my name infers I know very little. So I depend on you guys. So glad you are there

more than likely the slowness is an infection and unfortunately adding ram will not correct that. did you try just the one new stick of ram, removing the original one

    >>>do not forget to turn off your pc first
