Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Client for Microsoft Networks.

    Click on Start>Settings>ControlPanel>Network.

Now in the box, select Client for Microsoft Networks, and then click Remove. In the Network dialog box, click OK, and then click Yes to restart your computer.

After it reboots, go back and add "Client for MS Networks".

    Click on Start>Settings>ControlPanel>Network.

Now select Add>Client>Client for Microsoft Networks and follow the prompts. If prompted, insert your Windows CD for it to find the files it needs to install Client. Follow the prompts to restart Windows.

    Let us know what happens.
