This is a good place to start
    http://www.geforcefaq.com/faq.cgi#hw:gef:troub:inst:lockup

Lots of info on gforce and problems.

did you uninstall your previous card first, remove any software that was installed with the computer, remove it from device manager, shutdown, install new card, install drivers

Is assign irq for vga enabled in bios
agp memory set to half system ram

Now that this is installed, I try to run Everquest and after the load up is complete I click play. After this the screen blanks out and comes back with no 3d found. I have a Geforce2 graphics card with 3d. Where can I find the file or where to download it.

in bios irq is enabled for VGA . originally everything was enabled and test ran fine. Tried to go on everquest and recieved no 3 D device found. Ran the 3D configuration utility and it also says no 3D devices found.

    go to start/settings/control panel/system/device manager
What is listed under display adapter, any error messages

go to start/run/type msinfo32 and press enter, left hand frame, choose hardware environment, expand it, choose irq's. You will see a list of irq's in the right hand column. Go to the edit menu, choose select all, back to edit menu, choose copy. Then paste the list back into this thread.

Start it up in safe mode, run the utility and see what it says
to start in safemode, restart the computer, just after the memory count and before the windows loading message start tapping the F8 key, from the startup menu choose safe mode

What are your system specs, gforce cards have been known not to work with some older systems.

Is your computer agp 2.0 compliant???

The utility will tell you some of this info
