NEW VIRUS + Hijack

so apparently there is some new virus around that got everybody stumped as to how to fix it. Its a friends computer, mine is still fine. This is whats happening...when you turn the computer on, it immediately give this error message "Exception Processing Message C0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c" then that white screen that comes up when something is wrong comes up...the active desktop screen...that comes up BUT just when you try to restore the active desktop or anything, it switches to what the desktop should look like but with no icons or anything, then it switches back. Anything that was opened is closed down when it flickers back... Here is my hijack log:::

any help would be lovely...I got some Pro help and they said there was no cure, I should backup and restore. I was hoping there was another way...Let me know whats up...Always appreciated.
