I apologize if this is in the wrong area.

How would I search for files/folders in XP by only the size?
Say i want to find all files that are one GIG or more?

I vagly remember some DOS, *.* etc..
if dir *txt*.* finds all txt files how would I do size?

Or better yet is there a way to do the search in the search window? I didn't see it.

    Thanks

may work. I dont have time now to ck the other app's.

You can not search by size alone using the search window in XP. You have to name a file/folder and then you can determine size. But not size alone. Which seems strange to me.

Thanks, for the tips, I will try the apps and let ya know how it goes.

    Thanks
    B

Sure you can, search for *.* and specify size.

    Personally I use WinDirStat.

Correct stan. Embarassing as it is, I had the size detail uncked in the line with name typ date modified etc...

But now I am glad because the app's above are much easier foe what I wanted.

    Thanks again
