Initial installation of the driver, "Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Model NST-355U2", into the C drive Program File Directory seemed to go as described in the User Manual. Partitioning, formatingof the extenal drive, and back-up of the C and D drives seemed to go smoothly (more or less- the backup was not an exact image of the C and D drives). However, some days later, the computer would not boot. Uninstalling the external driver (which was never listed in Device Driver) using Control Panel plus deleting the USB Toolbox directory from Program Files restored the boot into Win98SE. I am now left with two apparent problems: 1- I cannot find and purge all the driver files from the system and 2- I conjecture this to be the reason a repeat of the initial installation doesn't take place (the "shutdown green arrow" never appears in the system tray) and recurrance of the non-boot problem when attempted. If this incoherent account rings any bells I will be most obliged for any pointers.
