Hello, I would like to connect my Nintendo Switch to my laptop. I've googled this and people say I need an capture card? Can someone explain to me how this works. Is there any other way to connect my switch to my laptop? Thank you.

As far as I'm aware, purchasing a capture card such as an Elgato HD60 S, is the only way to capture the Switch on your computer. The way this works, is you connect the Switch dock to the capture card via a HDMI cable, then connect the capture card to your laptop, and open the capture card program on your laptop.

From what I saw about the product, it is advertised that it should work with the Switch. As long as it is HDMI compatible. The only thing is, quality may be limited.
