Has anyone ever heard of Norton Internet security conpletely blocking YOU from accessing the internet???

I recently installed NIS 2002 and noticed immediate "slow-downs" (in online gaming, I was consistently lagging more in spite of not even loading NIS on booting up).

I rather expected this (though I don't remember that ever happening when I had NIS 2000) and didn't pay much attention to it.

Later I noticed drastic slow downs while web browsing, finally no connection at all. I though my problem was with the cable company so I hounded their tech support, but ultimately we realized the problem wasn't on their end.

I had already uninstalled NIS when the lock out began, so I tried removing System works (which was already on my computer).

I have a connection now, but it is intermittent.

    Anyone ever heard of this???
