Hi - I was running on xp for some years - perfect - then upgraded to 7 - now being told I don't have permission to access my own docs on google drive. Can someone please advise me as to how to tell 7 to behave? Windows 7 is not the boss of me - and I need access to my files on google drive.

    Advice sincerely appreciated

    Mark

    Hello Mark,

I suspect that there is an issue with folder/file ownership on your Windows 7 computer (and highly doubt that Google Drive; password, software, etc has anything to do with the issue that you are facing).

First start by navigating to the Google Drive folder, which is typically - C:\Users\[Your account]\Google Drive

Right click on the Google Drive folder and follow the instructions provided in the link below -

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753659.aspx

Ultimately you will want to give full access to your Windows logon.

Once the above is done restart your computer and test...

    Kind Regards,

    Davo
