What a beast!!! It's huge! I couldn't believe it the first time i started it up, and it started loading it's X env. and the memory usage climbed, and climbed and climbed! Insane!

Is it really necessary to be so huge? I'd like to learn the basics of emacs, as there are systems without vi, but goodness, there must be an emacs-lite or something!
