Hi all I am sure this has been covered already. I am on a HP Compaq Presario F756NR, and I have the pain in the rear red x next to my speakers. I have reinstalled the drivers from the HP website and it didn't do anything. I am wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem. Thanks

What version of Windows? Older releases of XP (pre-SP2) had issues with a number of audio chipsets. Also, check in your Services that the Windows Audio service is running.
