    Try looking for it.
Do you have a Autoexec.bat file sitting in C:, where it belongs?
First go to View/Folder Options, and check 'show all files', in order not to overlook it.
Then go to Start/Find/Files and Folders, and type Autoexec.
If no Autoexec.bat turns up, create one.

Open Windows Explorer in C:, and rightclick in it.
Create a new Textfile which you leave blank, and save as Autoexec.bat

Now try installing your sound card.

    Good luck,
