I recently updated to windows 10 and the fn keys don't work to adjust brightness anymore and there's no setting for it anymore in control panel. I tried the options in device manager but nothing works??

Try the windows key and A, the brightness control should be a slider at the bottom of the panel that opens

It would be helpful if you could download and run the TSG System Information Utility on the affected machine, and then post the results back to the thread. That way, we'll be able to tell what you're dealing with specifically.

The biggest issue with your laptop is Dell didn't support it beyond Windows 8, so that's likely why the function buttons aren't working properly. Nevertheless, I'll continue to look and see if there are any workarounds.

I don't think your graphics driver will support this in Windows 10; the hardware is just too old. However, I recommend downloading and installing this third-party utility for managing your brightness:

Win10 BrightnessSlider 1.7.9
