I have been trying to fix mouse since yesterday but i cant do it and i need help.

    Spec: (Laptop)
    Windows 7
    2.2 Ghz
    4 Gb Ram
    Mouse: Logitech M185 Wireless

    Problem:
I have a wireless mouse connected to the computer and i have been using it for months without any problem but yesterday it started behaving strangely, it wont click on certain things but moves without a problem. I can sometimes click on the taskbar and sometimes i cant. A example is when using google chrome it closes the tab when i just click on it.

    What I have tried:
    1. System Restore
    2. Diagnostics Boot Up (Safe Mode)
    3. New Batteries
    4. Reinstall Driver
    5. Opened and Cleaned
    6. Tried on another computer

After trying all these things i have still got the same problem. This leads me to believe its a hardware problem but i am not sure, feel free to leave suggestions.

Note: The touchpad on the laptop works fine its just the wireless mouse.

Sounds like the button is on it's way out if it was doing the exact same thing on a different machine.

So you mean its broken? if so then i would say it isnt, why is it that it only clicks certain things and not others but on occasions it does.

Is it only the left click this is occuring with? Right? Or both?

If one button is behaving sporadically on two completely seperate computers then either the mouse has become sentient or there's an issue with the device itself, most likely the switch on the button.
