Solved No CMOS after battery change phoenix/asus

No CMOS access after battery change Phoenix/Asus desktop.

For time sake, I put a screenshot on a free photo host site at:


Hope the IMG shows.

anyway... That's the only screen on startup, tried holding "delete", F10, and F1. Nothing happens.

This is an older desktop but my beloved beast. running VistaPro.

I really don't want to dig into my harddrive jumpers if I can avoid it.

I must be getting old, used to do PC tech help a decade ago.

The solution was too easy.
When CMOS went to default, it ignored my wireless keyboard, thus nothing worked.
Plugged in an old standard wired keyboard and got access.
I feel so dumb. Lol
Disregard my plea for help.
