Here is a strange one. On my XP Pro box I have Active Desktop enabled. If I have a shortcut on the desktop then I can see a Jpg as my background. However, if I delete all the shortcuts and have no desktop icons, my background goes blank. I can use a bmp file and no shortcuts/icons just fine. I just can't use a jpg background, which active desktop should allow.

I normally have a desktop with no icons or shortcuts on it. Now I find I can't do it and have a jpg background. Is this normal? Can anybody tell me why this is happening?
