    i've got a P3 1GHz 512mb and an nvidia Geforce fx 5200 128mb.

so....is there absolutely no chance that Doom3 will run on my computer, not even with a low graphics resolution and all the detail turned down?

Doom 3 can run on your comp. with low detail.

damb, really? i usually think that the "minimum requirements" really are a bare minimum? and that even with those, the performance is piss poor. thanks

Your processor is below minimum specs, everything else is barely above it. Your Graphics card is up to the task, a step above the minimum, and you have enough RAM to run the game. Your processor might not be able to handle it, though.

Go buy the game and post back your results.

Either way, nothing in your computer will break...it may run, but it probably won't run well, as your processor isn't fast enough. Make sure you set everything to the lowest settings to improve your chances of success.
