I have a HP PC with Microsoft Word Starter 2010. Is there a way I can play CD/DVDs without purchasing a full Microsoft 2010 program.

Welcome to TSG,

Microsoft Office has absolutely nothing to do with playing CD's or DVD's.

Can you explain what errors or problems you are experiencing trying to use optical discs?
