My other laptop is a Sony Vaio and I've been experiencing tons of problems lately. The newest problem is none of my .exe files will open. Any .exe file I try to open it only gives me internet explorer as an option to open the files. I can't even do a system restore because it won't give me the correct application to open it with. Please help.....

    Try this fix: EXEFIX

Unzip the fix and extract the .REG file to the Desktop. Right-click the .REG file and choose Merge. Note that you need to be an Administrator to apply this fix.

    Reboot the computer.

If the fix only opens as a text file, right-click it and select Open With > Choose Program... Then, select the Registry Editor.

If the Registry Editor is not in the list, browse to C:\WINDOWS and select regedit.
