Sorry folks but my son has lost his icons. When boot finished app error message: msgsrv32.exe application error.
Task manager will allow shut down. Going round in circles. Tried replacing msgsrv32.exe from dos prompt to no avail. Any ideas please?

try restoring the registry from DOS: scanreg /restore

or find msgsrv32.exe in Windows .CAB files (installation) and overwrite the current one.

if the worst comes to the worst, you will need to reinstall Windows 95 -- it should not take long since this system is quite compact.
