    hello tsg
I am not sure exactly what happened to my husbands computer.
We were scanning some documents on september 13, and we were knocked offline from a storm. The next day, everything was working fine on my computer but we cannot get his online at all.
both ps's use windows xp, norton anti-virus programs
everything was regularly updated until that day
i also use spotbot on both pc's
is there a repair install that may help?
it also says int. connection is unplugged
i have switched the pklugs on router and mine still works fine
could someone tell me what I can do?
    thanks
    justjesse2

sounds like something fried in the storm, possibly the nic card

open device manager and see if there are any red or yellow warning symbols

    hello dvk01
the device manager has no red or yellow warnings. i did check the error log for that day and one was the com event has a bad code and the other was volume shadow i believe
i checked the lan properties and the bottom two are greyed out
and there was some warning on the scanner for that day but we did not recieve it
is there anything else i can do?
    thanks for replying so quickly

if you mean the lights not working replace the nic,if the pin point globe is not on the back of the card have a look inside the case and see if there is a glow from somewhere on the card
