No more explorer.exe

    my explorer.exe got infected. an adware remover i ran deleted it. Im running windows xp pro, that i got from a friend, i only have the windows xp home cd. how do i get explorer back, and still keep pro? (i cant get cd from friend, he moved 4 months ago.. :( )

    can you try booting in safe mode and see if you can system restore?

    im booted right now. everything else works. im just running out of "new task" in the ctrl+alt+del menu. i also have so adware and viruses stil on the computer, but thats a second problem. ill try to restore (but wheres the .exe?)

    also, when i try to run some items like "control" it says i dont ahve acess. im the only user account on the computer soo..
