    Hi there,

I am trying to setup VPN access to watch BBC iplayer when staying outside the UK. I successfully set up the access on one computer (Windows 8) but having problems do the same thing for my other computer running Windows 7. On the Win 8 machine, once connected to VPN, I am able to watch the programs the same way as when I am in the UK. This is the problem I am having with the Win 7 machine:

    (1) I lose internet connection after I connect to VPN

If i uncheck 'use default gateway on remote network' for the VPN connection (on Ipv4 and/or Ipv6), then

    (2) I don't lose the internet connection BUT VPN connection shows as 'no network access' and I still cannot watch the programs (it tells me that I am outside the UK, so I assume it still renders my behind the VPN IP address as non-UK).

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Sorry, but this site will not aid in activities that violate terms of services or laws.

    From BBC's website:

    "Outside the UK
    Search iPlayer Questions

Rights agreements mean that BBC iPlayer television programmes are only available to users in the UK. However, if you have previously downloaded a programme onto your laptop or portable hard drive from BBC iPlayer while in the UK, you can then watch it anywhere in the world.

Most radio programmes are available to listen live or on demand outside the UK, in addition to podcasts, although sporting and other programmes may be subject to rights agreements.

However, we are aware of demand for an international version. BBC Worldwide has recently launched the BBC iPlayer App for iPad and iPhone in various countries. Visit the BBC iPlayer (Global) YouTube channel for further information."
