no picture when playing dvd in XP media player

    Im trying to watch a dvd (video shop one ) on my pc. As far as i know it is the media player on windows xp. tried playing it but no picture shows. HELLLPPP!

    Upgrade media player with new codecs.
    Try with Power DVD.

    The reason media player wont show the image is because you are missing the correct codec for the video. Many people charge for this codec like Power DVD recommended above

    VLC player is a free and capable media player. It can also play dvds for free.

    Before you spend any money, give VLC a go and see if it meets your needs
