I installed a ASRock P4V88+ refurb mb in a computer that went dead. I installed a cpu that the manual specified I installed a video card per spec and 1 512 memory stick. I turned it on thinking I would get a post or bios beep but neither. Do I need to connect any thing else to get a post. any help will appreciated.

    Thanks,
    RLB

Besides the 20 pin mainboard connector did you plug in the +12v auxiliary processor lead (2 yellow and 2 black wires)?

Did you momentarily "short" the power on pins on the motherboard front panel header to start the machine?

I plugged in both the power supply connectors 20 pin and 4 pin. I hooked up the front panel connectors per the mb manual and turned on power with computer switch.

    Thank You,
