    I was having issues with my SSD. I reinstalled windows 10 and upgraded the SSD firmware. Since then, I cannot for the life of me get sound out of my laptop.

    I have deleted and reinstalled drivers, ran the troubleshooter, tried all other common solutions but still nothing.

    You appear to have a Lenovo ThinkPad T540p, W540 laptop which appears to have a Realtek ALC3232 High Definition Audio sound device.
    Is that correct?

    What is the exact serial number on yours?

    You have THIS Lenovo ThinkPad T540p Type 20BF Laptop which came with Windows 10 64-bit.

    THIS is the device drivers list for it that you can manually download.

    When you install windows, the install should be done in the following order;
    1 Install operating system
    2 Update to the latest service pack [not applicable to win10]
    3 Install chipset/motherboard driver. Note be sure and reboot when prompted. Do not install multiple drivers without rebooting
    4 Install sound, nic/wireless, touchpad drivers
    5 Install video driver
    6 Run windows update and install all critical updates. Repeat until there are no more updates

    Failure to install in the above order often results in drivers not configuring correctly.
    Since this is a laptop, the ONLY place to download drivers is from the support page that Frank linked to. Do not use any driver from the realtek site, intel site, etc.
