    Hi

I have an eMachines T2240 and i have re formatted it and installed the audio drivers off the eMachines website but they do not work. After the installation it restarts and AVrack is installed but the sound still does not work. When i checked in device manager it still shows Multimedia Audio Controller in other devices and requires a driver to be installed.

Any help on where i can find the correct driver to install

    Liam

Did you install the "Chipset Driver" from the eMachines website? After re-installing Windows from scratch, you normally have to install the Chipset Driver first, followed by all the other drivers. On-board sound & video devices won't work without the Chipset Driver being present.
