no sound device

    hey guyz i installed a windows xp home to windowz xp pro and my sound dont work when i go to the volume controll it sayz no mixer device are installed so if anyone can help me pleaze let me know thankxzzzzzzzz

    you'll have to install the device drivers.

    control panel, system, hardware, open the device manager and check for 'unkown devices. if you need help finfing the drivers, post you computer model and make.

    install the chipset drivers for your motherboard (this will also take care of the usb controller) and then reinstall the audio drivers.
