No Sound Device

    Hi I have been working on an issue with my sound card for a couple of days now. I have no sound, except for the beeping noise on boot, on the CP when I got to Sounds and A devices the tabs are all grayed out. When i go to system volume control it gives me an error message there are no active mixer devices installed.

    Don't know what else to do...but here are the specs of my machine.

    Download and run either Belarc Advisor or Everest Home Edition. They will tell you exactly which audio adapter you have.

    Then post it here or search on google

    Did the computer come with a driver disc? You may need to reinstall the drivers.
