I have a job interview tonight and have a new computer. I need the headset to work for the interview. I have a Dyson usb set and a Lenovo T530 computer.

The computer is recognizing the headset and when I look at the volume control for the usb in the volume controls I see the movement going up and down in the bars. No sound though.

My headset is not muted and the sound is up. Headset does work in one of my older computers. Need to use the new one though because it has the specs required for the interview using a specialised software.

Any help would be Greatly Appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,

Cathy

Open your Control Panel and double click on the "Sound" icon. When the sound properties dialogue opens do you see your USB headphones listed as a playback device?

you have to make your USB headphones as your default playback device.
Never heard of a "Dyson head set" Only Dyson vacuum cleaners , what is the exact model head set? Is it a Dynex?

Hi yes Dynex. It has been set as default and yes they are showing up. The green bars are going up and down and the mic works but I can't hear anything with them. Not sure of the model # it doesn't say on the headset and I've had it awhile. No driver update is required according to my computer.

I guess you have window's 10, have you done the anniversary edition? Has it ever worked? If so you might have to roll back the driver. Does it say its working normally?
