Can anyone help me please, I have lost all of the sounds on my computer, even the infuriating AOL welcome sounds ! If I play with the speaker leads I can hear the static sound coming through the speakers, but that's all !
    Cheers, John.

Go to device manager and there's probably a yellow! next to sound card - reinstall driver, then reboot.

Have you tried another set of speakers? It sounds like the connection or one of the wires may be shorting out.
