No Sound Output Device Installed

I have actually seen this problem on this forum and elsewhere on the net, however I had not seen one quite the same as mine.

After my husband installed my new graphics card, this issue arose.

I've done the BIOS optimized settings, I've plugged in and unplugged the speakers. Under Device Manager, there isn't even a category for sound.

My husband said I don't have a sound card, that it is integrated in the Motherboard. The Motherboard is GigaByte.

I'm not 100% sure the problem started immediately after installing the video card. But I know it was definatly the same day.

Any help would be much appreciated. I use this computer for school and having sound is an absolute necessity.
