No sound! Please help!

I have no clue what happened. I rebooted and there's no sound coming from my speakers-when I go into control panel>sounds and audio devices it says that there is no audio device. :confused:
This is the error I get for SoundMAX integrated Digital Audio:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
It was working just an hour ago-I haven't installed anything either.
I hope someone can help. :(

It's fixed now. I downloaded and reinstalled the driver for the audio device.
I have no clue why it happened in the 1st place though... :confused:

Hi, Can you tell me how you uninstalled the Audio drive and reinstalle it, I do not have the same problem as you, but i do not have sound after reinstalling my OS.

Nic, if your machine is a brand name and you reinstalled with a Windows CD that did not come with the machine, then the installation won't install the correct drivers for your motherboard.
