Hi oliame, and welcome to TSG

Assuming you are running some version of MS-Windows.

    1) Check the Windows volume control and sound mixer settings to make sure nothing is muted or set to a very low volume.

    2) Check the hardware device manager to see if there are any sound device errors or warnings.

    3) If you are listening through headphones, make sure they are plugged into the correct audio output jack on the computer. Also, test them with a known good sound source.

    4) If you are listening through external speakers, make sure they are plugged into the correct audio output jack on the computer, are turned on, and have any volume control turned up. Also, test them with a known good sound source.

Beyond that, you will need to give us details on the computer and whatever you are using to listen on Skype and on your web browser.
