    Hi,

I have no sound on my computer. This happened the other day, but fixed itself when I rebooted. It has happened again, but the reboot did not fix the problem. I'm not a super techie, so please answer in simple terms.

    Thanks so much
from the very quiet office of
    Julie

Is the sound icon in the system tray? If it is, double click it and make sure that the sliders are midway and not muted. Also you can check the device manager to see if there are any conflicts( warning signs). Start> Run> type: devmgmt.msc then OK. You will see the Sound, video and game controllers.
