Everything in device manager looks fine. But there is no sound, it works on and off!

    hey khenderson,
    Welcome to TSG!

After checking the conection in the back of the computer for the plug in the right place and turning the speakers on and the volume up a little, I would delete the old drivers (s) and reinstall them. Does your mobo come with on-board sound? If so, check with the manufacturer on how to jumper it to 'disable' and clear it in your BIOS.

    post back!

Hi khenderson, welcome to TSG from me as well....

Can you be a bit more specific when you say it 'works on and off?'

Do some sound files work and others don't? Can you play cds? Wave files?
