Do either the internal or external speakers work?

neither work i tried both and i used the reset timer. does not make a sound with anything (dvd, game, cable,or with a static screen)

i'm afriad i gonna be stuck with a tv that doesnt have sound.
i have comcast and i have one of those recievers that looks like it has an audio outlet.
would i be able to relay the sound to a surround sound or radio with av outlets?

Hard to say, "one of those receivers" doesn't convey much information. What kind of interface from the receiver to the TV?
