Hi Guys
In essence I have just been given a processor from a friend. It is in full working order with the exception that it has no sound. If I try to play music using Microsoft Media Player I get an error suggesting that there is no sound card, it is fauty or being used by another program.
There are 3 "sound related" sockets in the same area as the mouse and keyboard sockets. (pink, green, etc) so it isn't a separate sound card!
I am using Windows XP with service pack 3. I believe the motherboard is a MSI K7N2G-L which has the NVIDIA nForce2 chipset. Unfortunately I don't have any of the drivers.
Is it a hopeless case!?
Cheers
