No starter CDs ...no Info...HELP!!

    we have acquired a Dell computer....just that the computer....no CDs....nothing....when you turn it on it does the Windows XP screen then promptly asks for a password to open windows.......Yikes!!!! now what......is there anyway to get passed this?

    well I think who ever you acquired the pc from, you should ask them for the xp cd or the password for the administrator account. The person you got this from should have already known this...

    Might just be worth hitting the ENTER key when asked for the password. Otherwise take a look at this - free if you are prepared to wait a couple of days and reasonably cheap if you want to get on with it -

    the computer came from a senior apartment complex and was left by the previous owners who are out of NY.....we have tried several times to have them give us the password or CDs .....and they dont have a clue or just dont want to bother.....so we have this computer that with 75 cents will buy us a Hershey bar.......Uuuuuuggghhhhh

    ever give a thought about reinstalling XP? Probably not much of anything left on that computer of value to you anyway as far as lost data.
