there have more times then not when I boot up the computer that it goes into this state of lull and does not allow me to move forward. the first thing I do after booting up in open OUTLOOK and this is where I get my first indication that something is going on......outlook does "open" but it does not allow me to view my emails as it gets "Stuck"

from this point I really cant open much of anything else...

there is something that I NOTICED every time this issue occurs (and it does NOT occur ALL The time) and that is that down in the lower right corner tray I see this little "Shield", now I think this is the update shield installing updates to the computer but when this shield comes up on my other computers it does not cause all these other issues (like starting with opeing the ap of Outlook)

I think the first thing I would like to do is to change the settings on how these updates are installed such to find out if this is the cause of the issue but I do not know how to do this

another thing is that IF I am able to "Restart" the computer it does restart and MOST OF the time the little shield is NOT there any longer and everything then is fine...??
